I’m Abbey
I’ve been caring for kiddos since high school, and specifically working with babies (and their parents) for the past ten years. I adore watching tiny humans discover themselves and the world through subtle milestones and exploration. It’s so important that parents get that time with baby, but that’s quite hard when they’re sleep deprived!
I’m not here to interrupt bonding with your baby. I’m here to support it!
a few reasons parents hire me:
Colic - nothing adds tension and frustration between parent and baby like colic. I don’t have any secret formula, but sometimes just taking a break helps.
Night shift - when one or both parents work at night, I’m here to help baby and parents get sleep. I can feed baby bottles or wake Mom up during feedings!
Multiples - when a family welcomes more than one baby home at a time, things get overwhelming fast. I have experience with twins and triplets!
Sleep deprivation - whoever said “sleep when the baby sleeps” was quite optimistic. Babies are notoriously fragile sleepers, which means parents get fragmented sleep too. Whether you want ongoing help during the trenches, or an as-needed “reset” night, I’m here!
Medical complications - if baby or parent has medical needs or chronic illness, an extra set of hands makes all the difference. I have experience with eczema care, rash care, feeding tubes, medicine administration, acid reflux, and the unique needs of babies born premature.
Growing family - the world doesn’t stop when a baby comes home, which means toddlers and littles need to adjust just as much as baby and parents. The days can be long, but the years are short, right?
Post-partum depression - we aren’t designed to “do life” or raise a new, little life all on our own, especially when our bodies are recovering from something so life-altering. Whatever you’re experiencing, I’m here to listen and help.
